Weekend in photographs

The weekend just gone was a beautiful one for me and my fiancé. On Saturday we headed back up to Wells Next The Sea to visit my grandma. She's just been diagnosed with breast cancer and is being incredibly strong and not letting it effect her at all. I'm incredibly proud of her. we went to visit her again and go Crabbing (or gillying as it is properly called), as Brad has never gone before! I have to say the kid next to us was completely cheating and had all the crabs he had caught in a basket!! we got a few though and we also stopped to watch the parade as it was carnival day!!
Then on Sunday we had a completely chilled out day with Brads best friend over and just watched tv, ate roast and they played on the xbox a bit. I didn't really take any pictures of this day as it was just a pure chilled out day for us.

  1. (Top Left) One of the parade cars. I love VW camper vans!! this one was beautiful
  2. (Bottom Left) Brads first crab he has ever caught. he dropped another one at the same time that took a leap to freedom back into the quay! Brad also named this crab Gerald.... I do not know why.
  3. (Top right) sitting on the edge of the quay, crabbing in the lovely sunshine
  4. (Middle right) The Quay side crowded with people, watching the Harley Davidsons at the start of the parade. made me want to watch sons of anarchy so badly! (new season on the 9th September)
  5. (Bottom Right) India has found a new place to kip. this place is really cute as you can see her from the outside as you come in. she also literally spent the whole day there yesterday!!
What did you get up to at the weekend? did you get out and enjoy the sun on saturday?

July in Photographs

Just a short sweet extra post for you all. As its now August, (oh christ im having a baby in 2 months!) I thought I would have a nice little round up of July in pictures for you. Along the top of this collage is from when we went to Sonisphere festival at the start of July. So much fun and I believe when most of the very good weather started! Then we moved into our new house so there is the baby's nursery getting more and more ready for his arrival. The middle is a quick 'selfie' I took before a friends wedding that we also attended this month. I also could not leave out my gorgeous kitty!

Back to the left was probably the worst night of the whole of July, on the way back from sonisphere and at 4 in the morning or so we had to make an emergency stop at Addenbrooks hospital in Cambridge, as brads foot had swelled ridiculously, and he was in sooo much pain. We eventually got home at 7 am, after no sleep and 3 hours in A&E.

Then there's my niece on a donkey ride at the carnival held in the town I grew up in recently.

Along the bottom, the first roast dinner I made in this house/have ever made by myself (no motherly intervention here!)
Then brad and I went to feed the ducks and geese down the local park and I snapped this little picture of him doing that. And finally another cheeky 'selfie' after I had dyed my hair again!!

What were your highlights of July? let me know.
Also don't forget to follow me on my twitter and instagram for more pictures!! (links below)

My Tattoos

I am a lover of tattoos. Phew, that's out there. I have 7 tattoos myself, much to my mothers dismay. (she cant talk though she has 2!) I am quite particular in what I will have on my body and by who, as I believe most people are. I am also particular in volume of tattoos. some girls that get covered just don't manage to retain their 'girly-ness' although maybe they wanted to loose it but for me its a no no. Anyway I am just going to show you a few of my tattoos, mainly because I cannot get pictures of the ones on my back alone!

I got my first tattoo at 18 (the one on the right), when I was young naive and had first moved away from my parents to university. I saw a lovely swallow on sienna millers arm which I loved, so I wanted something similar. To be honest the work was shoddy and by the time I was 20 I disliked it. in steps my old school friend, training to be a tattooist so I let him do his magic, and he filled it in and added the other birds (there is three extra after the original). these go round my wrist and I always get people comment on them saying how much they love them! My friend did all his work in dot work then and was one of the first and I would say is the most exciting dot work tattooist in Norwich at the moment. (search WhitingTattoos on instagram for more of his work!)

This tattoo is probably my favourite out of all 7 of mine. I love owls (see my New house tour post) when I turned 20 I decided I wanted something new on my right arm. and this was it. my tattoo artist was brilliant and made me instantly comfortable (I actually got most of my tattoos done with him) I honestly love this completely everything from the design to the shading.

I would say that with my first tattoo I felt like I jumped in too soon. I wish now I had spent a bit longer deciding on what I would have liked on my permanently on my body. To people thinking about getting one, find a design/picture and put it as your laptop background for at least 6 months to see if you get bored of it. it is not a light decision. I have not had any  more tattoos for a good few years now, maybe due to living abroad or having other more important things to spend my money on (tattoos are not cheap!!). I am not opposed to getting any more now I just would like to spend a bit more time thinking about them!

Do any of you have tattoos? have you had any particular experiences of tattoos?
