Nursery Finishing Touches!

We have just about finished the nursery! all Harry Pottered up and everything! very exciting times. The only thing I want to add is a Rocking chair (perfect for breastfeeding!). But here are our pictures of the room now. Feel free to ask any questions about it! We have had so much fun putting it all together and getting things for it. I have spent ages organising it too! so it is just the way I want it!

Harry Potter Baby Shower

As some of you may know I am pregnant, expecting a little boy and have a nursery that is harry potter themed. So the weekend just gone my sister decided to roll with this theme and do a harry potter themed baby shower! She did amazingly! There was so much thought and detail in everything!

The Cake my sister got for us was unbelievably amazing, if you are in the Norwich/ Norfolk area then I definitely highly recommend Haleys cake kitchen

We got so many gifts for our little boy, it was completely and utterly humbling, and wonderful to know how many people are so caring towards this little boy already! We cannot thank everyone enough! I know have so much to do to organise everything and actually try and fit the majority of it in the nursery!

It was such a lovely day with all our families gathered together for the first time really. Its is also pretty scary now that as it is September that our little fella will actually be here next month!!

August In Photographs

As if it is September already! August went by far to quickly!
August in photographs for you all. I have just looked back at august and realised how much I have done and all the beautiful things I have been able to see! I think my highlight was my baby shower! (look lout tomorrow for a post about the baby shower! and so many pictures from it! )

Nursery Tour Updated

This weekend just gone, my fiancée and I decided to go pick up some stuff we would need for the nursery and as it looks more like a baby's room now I thought I would share a bit more with you! We picked up a few more little bits as well, but there is still quite a bit for us to get.

Yesterday we got some lovely cot bedding. We had particular difficulty in finding what I called 'masculine' baby bedding, its cute yes, but I want it to be boyish and fun. A lot of places generally stock very unisex products. We know we are having a boy, and we know what sort of stuff we want for him. 

 Cute little muslin squares we got from Mamas and Papas!

We got some more little bibs, and my fiancée particularly liked this pattern!

We got a couple of swaddle clothes for when the baby is new born in this pattern. 

This hat was knitted for us by my partners aunt! the little bobble is so cute!

'masculine' hats, as I thought. what is not to like about mini axe guitars in a baby's hat.

My fiancée particularly liked the blue and white striped hat and mittens as he said they are Queens Park Ranger colours. 

I have also been in talks with my sister about the 'baby shower/wet the baby's head'. we have decided to have it all together and a nice BBQ in my sisters back yard with both mine and my fiancées family and friends. My sister has also decided it has to also be Harry Potter theme like the baby's nursery! (she's very game for this whole theme!) This isn't happening until the end of August so we'll all have to wait for pictures from that! but as I help my sister plan it i am sure there will be more posts along the lines of the Baby Shower!

Harry Potter themed Nursery Tour

So in around 100 days i will be giving birth to my first child ( a little boy). I'm beyond scared about this by the way! I am kind of just winging it until he comes. You can never be too prepared for it right?? what we have been preparing is his nursery. Before we found out the sex of our baby we had already settled on a harry potter themed nursery, (who doesnt want their childs world to be magical??) which we discovered on pinterest from other people who had wanted a nice themed nursery. We have bought a few things but we are no way near done. Here is what we have completed, but theres still a long way to go! (we haven't even put the cot together yet) The pure fact that by the end of the year I will be a mother is utterly terrifying. i am already missing getting up and going to work!

The nursery comes off of our bedroom so our little boy will never be too far away!

We feel we have made a very positive start on our nursery, especially considering we only moved into this house 2 weeks ago and my partner has been at work for the majority of it! we have a couple more weekends of work to be done and hopefully we should be finished! i have a nice long list of all the things i need to still get! those may have to wait until pay day though!
