A Evening in Debenhams

On Monday evening i was invited to a Bloggers event (the first one they have had) in Debenhams Norwich, having previously attended events in the store for Urban Decay (big up the UD ladies) This event included many more of the beauty and fragrance stands that are available in Debenhams

It was such a lovely evening filled with prosecco, chocolates and demonstrations. Unfortunately, my friends and I had to arrive a little after the starting time of the event, due to work commitments, so we did miss the beginning. My friend and I were particularly happy to have a couple of proseccos after our work day though, cheers to curing our monday blues Debenhams. *glasses clink*

My friend was my model for pretty much everything here! (thanks Em) The ladies and brands were so bloody generous, and we left the event with so many samples and full sized products to try. There was actually so much that I put some bits aside to give to friends so they can test stuff too. I really enjoyed the variety of brands involved in the event, from benefit to Chanel. There was such a good mix. I especially enjoyed being shown around the rooms and getting more information on the services benefit offer. (my brows are screaming for their attention)

The main products, I am excited about trying are the Guerlain Terracotta bronzing powder and the Givenchy Noir Interdit Mascara. Also another little shout out to the Urban Decay Girls, for the full size de-slick makeup setting spray

As you can see from the pictures, there was so many brands to chat to about either, their new products or existing products. The whole event was really well run, and the ladies were so attentive to us. There will be a follow up post as a sort of review or more my favourite products from the event in a few weeks time. I am definitely excited for the Spring event.

Thank you so much to Debenhams Norwich for such a lovely event.

Love Always

My Favourite Foundation

No7 - Beautifully Matte.

I use beautifully matte in shade warm Ivory

I am 25 and have been through a fair few brands and shades of foundation trying to find that right one, or just one I loved enough and decided to rebuy. I think I actually started to wear foundation maybe during year 8 at school (aged12/13).

Normally when I finish a foundation, I move on to try another. obviously I had ever found a foundation worth buying again. until I tried No7 Beautifully Matte.

I have never really purchased a lot of No7 stuff, im not sure why as everytime you go in to boots you seem to leave with 10 vouchers for the stuff. I saw someone raving about this foundation on my instagram feed, and as I was coming close to the end of the current foundation i had (I think that was seventeen spot on) I decided I would give this a go. and I haven't looked back. its provides a really good coverage, there is an extensive range of shades, and it doesn't come with a hefty price tag. looking at you Nars and Mac. if your like me, and just cant afford or justify spending £25+ on a foundation then give No7 a try. completely worth the budget friendly, £13 price tag. absolutely chuffed with this.

Have you tried this? have you got any other recommendations?

Rimmel Apocalips ; Favourite Shades

I have had these for quite a while now but haven't spoken about them. Generally I enjoy wearing lipsticks/glosses in the more autumnal months and in deeper shades so these are the best shades for me. These are Galaxy and Celestial. Galaxy is my favourite out of the two, it has a slight shimmer to it and is perfect for the wintery months with its deeper shade.

i also love Celestial as it is quite a bit easier to wear day to day. Its is such a nice muted shade. You can pick these up from Boots or click this link HERE

Im really trying to expand my range of lipsticks and have more confidence to wear brighter shades. crazily enough i do not own a bright red, I'm just not sure where I would wear it too!

what are your favourite shades in the Apocalips range? any recommendations?
