Playlist : April 2017

Yay! It's here, and it has been an amazing month for new music.

This month it is primarily new music, and I am excited about that! I have chucked some oldies on to the playlist itself, but they won't be included in this post, so you'll just have to go check out the post to see what old songs I have gone back to!

SO let's start this.

1.Paramore - Hard Times
Anyone that knows me in real life knows how much of a Paramore fan I am. I've grown up with this band, been through some shit times, and well they have always been there. Well this new song was actually released today. I've had a couple of listens and well i'm already in love with it. I love it when a band progresses and doesn't always sound the same as previous albums. check it out.

2. Harry Styles - Sign of The Times
Well let's start with this beauty. I love it. I love everything about it. I mean if you haven't heard this one yet, then where have you been?? His performance on SNL was perfect. I would also like to state here, i know i sound like a massive Harry styles/ 1D fan which i wasn't, i just appreciate a wide variety of music (which is also something I have been criticised for in the past)

3. Alt - J - In Cold Blood
I'm a huge Alt- J fan. This song is a big spring/summer song for me, I'm gunna be blasting it for a while to come yet.

4.Sarah Close - Caught Up
This is a great song from the Youtuber. Her new EP is out now, named after this song too. This song i can see myself learning all the words to and singing at the top of my lungs, particularly whilst cooking

5. Royal Blood - Lights Out
The new song is here!! I really appreciate Royal Blood. The last album I bought just to put in my ex's car just so we could listen to that album from start to finish on road trips. It was amazing from that. This song does not disappoint. Listen to it HERE

6.Lady Gaga - The Cure
OMG. I have never been that much into lady gaga. well this song has changed it for me. I mean don't get me wrong, i always appreciated her and her musical abilities. Maybe my own tastes have matured or even changed, but this song is gunna be a summer song for me too.
Listen to it HERE

So those are some of my favourites for this month. all newbies too. I'm so looking forward to the new songs that are going to come out this summer, I mean i love a good summer soundtrack.

For the full April Playlist follow it HERE

What songs have you been loving this month? let me know in the comments!

Playlist : January 2017

Well Hello! It's a whole new year. I am not even sure I have written a blog post yet this year. If I haven't, well then, i'm kicking it off with my play list for this month.

Now not an awful lot of new music gets released at this time of year, unless your Ed Sheeran, cheers pal, i think everyone needed that (yes, of course he features here) Any way, lets get this started.

This months top picks!

1. Ed Sheeran - Shape of You & Castle On The Hill
I'm from Norfolk, not a million miles froms Ed's home town too. I don't think I need to say much about these to be honest. they speak for themselves and i'm fairly certain they are already number one and two in the charts anyway!

2. Alessia Cara- How Far I'll Go.
I'll admit i haven't seen the film yet, i really want to. But this song is so good. I like to sing it around the house to myself.

3. ZAYN & Taylor Swift - I don't wanna live forever.
Again just a massive song, but taylor swift doesn't ever really put out shit songs now does she.

4. Deaf Havana - Fever
Another new one. I am not sure there has been a month when Deaf Havana haven't been in my playlist

5. The Chainsmokers - Paris
I still have a lot of love for these guys since Closer was such a big song for me.

Again this is just a small selection of the songs on my playlist for this month. Also featuring are  You Me At Six (great new album), Martin Jensen and Four Year Strong.

Follow my playlist HERE

Also please have a look at my new Vlog channel HERE and please subscribe.

What have you all been listening to this month? Again  I am always up for more suggestions for new music!

Playlist : November 2016

Here are my picks of my favourite new and old songs for the month of November.
I'm fairly certain I have missed a couple of months (although there probably wasn't a lot of new music in those couple of months)

This month however, my playlist is the longest it has been and I have been so happy about that. So here is just a couple of my picks for this month

1. Dodie - Absolutely Smitten -
She's just released her EP, and I am completely and utterly in love with it. This song is so beautifully hopeful and happy. Please go buy her EP here, and follow her youtube channel here

2. Blink 182 - She's Out Of Her Mind.
My pop punk heart is finally fully happy and satisfied again with this song, and the video they did for spotify sessions. I am absolutely completely ok with there being no Tom Delonge too (possibly an unpopular opinion, who knows?) I feel like they are back to their best. Link to Video Here

3. Metallica - Moth Into Flame
I love this. I love Metallica. I Love new Metallica. I also love Metallica shirts. Enough Said. (also not the video for the song, but this is better anyway. ENJOY)

4. Bruno Mars - 24k Magic
I wouldn't have normally found myself listening to this song, I mean its by far NOT my favourite Bruno Mars song. What happened is, Conor Maynard and Alex Aiono did a sing off over the base of this song and I loved it. As I can't have the mash up on my playlist (put it on spotify already Conor!) I guess the original will do. Both Videos are below.

5. Sainte - Technicolor
Tay Jardine previously from We Are The In Crowd, has returned with this. I Love it. Its one of those songs I like to belt out whilst I am giving Fletcher a bath. There's always music on in the bathroom right? or just me??

As always there are far more songs on my monthly playlist on Spotify which you can find and follow HERE. Also if you enjoy their songs, make sure you follow the artists and support them too.

What have you been enjoying this month, music wise?

August's Music Playlist

Who's ready for another month of what I have been listening to and loving this month? Well ucky you cause this month i actually put together an actual playlist on my spotify!

This month has been another pretty eclectic mix from drake to neck deep, but here they are..

1. The Chainsmokers - Closer
This song is my current favourite. I love everything about it. Just mentioning Blink 182 in a song is an absolute winner for me. This is one of my new favourite bands.

2.  John Newman - Ole
I'm obsessed with this song, It has such a different vibe to other music around at the moment, and The beauty that is Calvin Harris is also involved and I know there has been a lot of talk about what the lyrics relate to in this song. For me I just love the vibes, and yes I did just say that and sound completely lame.

 3.Twin Atlantic - No Sleep
I have never been a massive fan of Twin Atlantic, however this song just gets me every time, I can imagine it sounds amazing live (hence video link below)

4. Conor Maynard - This Is My Version
I love a good bit of Conor, I have recently gone through a break up and this song came about like perfect timing (if a couple of months late) I keep singing this everywhere, especially on my way to work/ at work. My work friends think I am crazier than normal now. hey ho though.

5. You Me At Six - The Swarm
This is an oldy, but I always go back and this one came back up this month, and I have not been able to stop to listening to it.

There are a lot of other different songs on my playlist for this Month. Have a listen and follow here - August 2016 Playlist. Also follow My Spotify (kelsieborder11) as I am going to be doing a playlist for each month as I just love finding new music.

Let me know in the comments below, what music you have been loving this month!

My Make Up Must Haves

As a mum, and someone who does long days at work when I'm in, I like to have makeup that actually lasts. That suits me and my lifestyle. I get woken at half 5 every morning, after a busy filled morning of breakfast cbeebies, and tidying up, I want to be able to wack on some make up quickly, it make me look great and last all day, until I trudge home after a 12 hour day and wipe it all off, before a 10 hour day the next, or for the long day where I get toddler hands wiping my face, and bath water splashed everywhere.

So here are some of my current favourites, some of these I have been using for a while now, I just keep going back. Some of them are new in the last month or so, but I literally just love them and how easy/pretty they are..

1. Foundation - My base. I use No7 - beautifully matte in Warm Ivory - I have previously done on a post on this before HERE. I pop this all over my face in the morning, it gives amazing coverage, its light and lasts all day, unless I have been doing some over the top activity (like carrying a sleeping toddler back from the bus in  leather jacket in heat, I got sweaty)  This is amazing though, I went on a recommendation for this (and other No7 products), I have not been disappointed yet. If your looking for a new foundation this is it!

2. Eyeliner - Seventeen - Tattoo me Liner - I bloody love this, since I have used it I haven't even bothered to look for any others. What's the point? This is perfect, it stays put, it's easy to use (I personally think, maybe not if you are a newbie to liquid eyeliner, but with a bit of practise hey?). This lasts all day , and night as I found when I accidentally (a few times) fell asleep after a night out. Honestly I don't know if I can get across how perfect this is. get it. try it, it will change your life.

3. Mascara - Maybelline Lash Sensational - I like trying new mascaras a lot, why not? they are so fun to test out and use a different brand every now and then, however I always find myself coming back to this. Its super easy day to day for big lashes too.

4. Eyebrows - NYX Micro Brow pencil in Espresso - I recently purchased this, I think the whole of the UK knows you can now get this in Boots. Well I love this. Finally you can get a variety of actual shades for brows, mine are so dark (sometimes super bushy too), that I always struggle to get something to actually match. This is so handy. I don't need to use anything else but this for a standard day.

5. Bronzer - Seventeen Instant Glow in Pink Bronze Shimmer brick - Its summer now, I tan quickly, I have been chucking a bit of this on for the day just so I get a nice glow. It's so pretty, I had to buy it. Im enjoying it at the moment.

This is the base pretty much of my daily make up, sometime I use more, sometimes less. But the stuff I mentioned above are currently my favourites. It lasts and I love that, I have a busy hectic lifestyle and I try and fill spare time with fun things for me and Fletcher to be doing, so I really don't want to be worrying about my makeup. If you have any suggestions for new stuff or things you think I need to try, please let me know! Who doesn't need an excuse to spend more money on make up right?

July's Music Favourites

I really like writing these posts about the music I have been listening to this month. I love finding new songs to learn all the words to, and pop on whilst I am on the bus home from work (one day these will be on in my own car where i can sing out loud to my hearts content).
From source (not my image)

On to the music - I got spotify premium, and wow has my life changed.  I love that I can find pretty much anything to listen to, I use it to send me to sleep and to download new albums I want to have with me. My selections have been pretty varied this month but here they are...

1. Biffy Clyro -. Ellipsis.

I have always loved Biffy since seeing them when I was 15, at the UEA before Puzzle even came out. This album is so good, I have been listening to it on repeat. My favourites on this are Animal Style and Friends and Enemies. Absolute bangers!

2.Blink 182 - California

Again a long time favourite band - this album is GOOD. I have really been enjoying blink sounding like their happy old selves. I had an in depth conversation with my friend about them the other day, where although we both love this album, we both think Take off your pants and jacket is our favourite.

3. Deaf Havana - Sing (single)

James in deaf havana has an amazing talent at song writing. this song is also brilliant. Randomly I always go back to old Deaf Havana albums. Give them a listen for great music and lyrics.

4. Chvrches - Bury It (single)

Im new to Chvrche, but this song is my jam at the minute. I love singing it wherever and whenever. Plus the addition of  Hayley Williams is always welcome in my opinion.

5. Shawn Mendes - Treat You Better

Some days I just love a good pop song, this is this months

What are your favourite songs this month? Please let me know I want more music to listen to!

My Favourite Foundation

No7 - Beautifully Matte.

I use beautifully matte in shade warm Ivory

I am 25 and have been through a fair few brands and shades of foundation trying to find that right one, or just one I loved enough and decided to rebuy. I think I actually started to wear foundation maybe during year 8 at school (aged12/13).

Normally when I finish a foundation, I move on to try another. obviously I had ever found a foundation worth buying again. until I tried No7 Beautifully Matte.

I have never really purchased a lot of No7 stuff, im not sure why as everytime you go in to boots you seem to leave with 10 vouchers for the stuff. I saw someone raving about this foundation on my instagram feed, and as I was coming close to the end of the current foundation i had (I think that was seventeen spot on) I decided I would give this a go. and I haven't looked back. its provides a really good coverage, there is an extensive range of shades, and it doesn't come with a hefty price tag. looking at you Nars and Mac. if your like me, and just cant afford or justify spending £25+ on a foundation then give No7 a try. completely worth the budget friendly, £13 price tag. absolutely chuffed with this.

Have you tried this? have you got any other recommendations?

Love

My Favourite Hair Products

As i have said in the past I am a massive fan of Bleach London and my favourite product has to be their Reincarnation hair mask. It is amazing, and I will make anyone buy it/try it. I have so far forced my sister to buy it and my best friend (both loved it!). It just leaves my hair feeling so soft, especially as I had the dip dye going on my ends were not the in the best condition! Just get this product and try it! i really want to try their rose shampoo and conditioner collection whilst I'm still quite blonde!

I also really like the vo5 heat protection spray. i do generally put a lot of effort into caring for my hair as much as i like to change it up, i understand how much i also need to protect it. i generally try not to blow dry it now days. Since being pregnant, i'm a lot more tired and actually feel like i have more time to wait around for it to dry naturally, it is also so much thicker and longer since being pregnant too!

I am a massive fan of Aussie shampoo and conditioner. It smells amazing and is so good for my hair. I do like to change up my shampoo and conditioners once in a while as I feel like my hair just gets used to the products and stops doing what it is supposed to do (maybe that's just me and my crazy mind). However my absolute favourite is Aussie shampoo and conditioner. I like to use oils in my hair to control frizz and keep it nice and smooth in general, but I do tend to change these up and don't really have a favourite yet. Let me know if you have any recommendations for hair oils I should try?

What products do you use? Let me know! I love trying new stuff for my hair. I'm really wanting to try Toni and Guy stuff but just have not bought any. Let me know if you use it and reckon I should give it a try!
