My Biggest Fears

I've always wanted to be open and honest on this blog, which I have, and I aim to keep it that way, despite what some people 'suggest'.

I guess mine, and Fletcher's, lives have changed quite abit recently, from routines, shift patterns with my job, and general life things too.
I've been a  single parent for just under 2 months and some days, honestly, it is the hardest thing, purely because Fletcher seems to be in the terrible twos. The word 'no' brings about the worst meltdowns ever. But, I am getting there. Doing everything alone actually gives me much more purpose, and a huge sense of accomplishment, Before, I couldn't imagine doing everything alone, however now I am proud I do and can. I'm so proud what I can do and can provide alone for my son. I mean I am not completely alone, my parents and sister help.

I still have some fears in my life. That one day, some other woman will try to parent my child. I had a terrible step mother as a child (she even admitted this) and I dread to think that Fletcher may suffer the same. I'm all for people loving Fletcher and giving him attention, as every child deserves it. I just don't want a replacement mum. I guess I always need to tell myself that I actually grew him, carried him, protecting him for nine months and actually bought him into this world. That counts for something.

My main priority is to protect Fletch from hurt and harm in anyway, and providing him a stable, constant home environment. That kid is my everything.

In the last 2 months our bond has grown stronger. Fletcher's speech is behind but that doesn't stop our communication. I guess it's a mum thing, cause I just understand (the majority of the time) what he wants or needs. sometimes when he doesn't realise it too.

I fear the day when he stops needing me like he does now. I know that it is inevitable, but like I still rely on my parents for occasional help and advice, I hope he always does the same with me too.

I also fear, either being alone or unable to trust someone else in the future, and even meeting someone that will accept me as a single parent and accept Fletcher too, probably really stupid to worry about that, but I guess I do. I had Tinder , although hilarious, I have deleted it. It just doesn't sit right with me, it's just not the way I think I will meet anyone, and I'm a true believer that someone will always walk into your life when you're not looking and least expecting it.

I guess I wanna be honest and say right now I haven't a clue where life is going or what could happen in the future, but then who does ? ( seriously if you have so much figured out, tell me your secrets?) I am fully concentrating on having fun, and making sure Fletcher (in between meltdowns) is having as much fun and laughing as much as possible.

I guess if Fletcher is reading this in the future , then i want him to know, I'm trying my best. I'm far from perfect, whilst I'm trying not to scream back at you, because your screaming about not wanting to put your pyjamas on, Please know, I'm still scared that I may not be doing this right, but I really am trying my best, and when I say "no" I do still love you, although you are probably thinking I'm the worst.

Playlist: March 2017

This month's playlist is here! What a random month for music too. I'm gunna go straight into what I have been listening to so everyone can just have a party right away.
And would it even be March without Ed Sheeran in it? No. The Answer is NO.
1. Ed Sheeran - Galway Girl (it's the best lets be honest)

2. Sarah Close - Call Me Out
I am in love with this song. IN LOVE. Sarah is so good, and I completely recommend everyone go and listen to her and support her on youtube and twitter!

3. All Time Low - Last Young Renegade
It's new, and im going to see them in Norwich is 2 days. Well Excited. So it's in this playlist, and such a catchy song too.

4. Weezer - Feels Like Summer
I mean I just love Weezer. Just love them. Give it a whirl. You will too. I promise.

5. Blink 182 - Parking Lot
Another newb from them, including Matt Skiba. I've seen some negative comments that it is too similar to their old stuff, which is understandable, but i still like it.
Listen to it HERE

6. Lorde - Green Light
Now I was never a big fan of Royals, like ever, I felt like that was a terribly overrated song. However this song is beautiful!

As always, just a small selection actually featured here. You can listen to the rest of the playlist HERE

Let me know in the comments, your favourite songs this month too!

Moving On From A Break Up

This post is all about my honest thoughts and how i am working at moving on from a horrible event in my life (see THIS post). I know worse things happen to other people, and worse shit happens everywhere. This however effected me and my family life. My little world.

Honestly, right now i feel great, i feel like i am finally in a really positive place that i actually strived to be in whilst in that relationship. I feel like writing posts is my therapy. Getting all my thoughts and feelings written down . There are still days when I' angry. I think of the arguments and retaliations i would have to said arguments running through my head. However there's nothing counting to 10 and a few deep breaths don't cure. when i feel like that i honestly think of all the great things in my life. Fletcher, My family and friends. The opportunities i have in life. The things i can do now, that because of the manipulative and constricting relationship i was in, i can now go and do.

Hindsight is great right? Now i look back i can see what i thought was a great relationship really wasn't. An argument was always my fault. I was forever wrong and always the first to apologise. In actual fact i don't think i ever received an apology.

Of course, not every part of that relationship was bad. I wouldn't have been in it if not Now though i'm excited to see what the future holds in every aspect. New relationships, new opportunities, new travel destinations etc.

I have a few tips that have helped me get to a good place.

1. Find a great breakup song.
Thank god for Little Mix is all i can say to this, I mean Hell Yes to 'Shout out to my ex'. Theres also some pretty damn good playlists on spotify

2. Surround yourself with great friends including the online ones!
I mean most friends would support you in this situation, but sometimes you find out some are pretty shit. so i have my good friends surrounding me, and i'm so bloody thankful for them. My advice, cull the ones that don't bring positivity to your life.

3. Say yes to new opportunities.
I am all for this. going out with different people. put yourself out of your comfort zone. No adventure really starts in your comfort zone after all. plus its a great way to take your mind off things.

4.  Talk to People/write everything down
My last post (my open letter) was crazy therapeutic. I felt amazing afterwards. The kind words I received after that, online and in real life mean the world. If your friend goes through something similar, just be there for them. If you go through it, even if no one else reads it, write it down. Once everything is down, it seems silly to hold on to it. try to never hold on to anger. anyway the best revenge is being completely happy in your own life.

Those are just a few points, that I have found have helped me. I have really tried to surround myself with friends so I can at least take my mind of the shit show that may be my love life.

If you have anything else that may help people, let me know in the comments!

Playlist : February 2017

I'm back with this month's playlist. I'm so behind on writing this but then some crap has happened this month, so forgive me.

Anyway, I'm gunna jump straight into the pit of my favourite songs this month.

1. Dirty Laundry - All Time Low
Kicking it off with one of my favourite bands, and pretty new addition to my playlist this month. On first play of this song I was a bit nonplussed. Not my favourite ATL song not my least favourite either. however a few more listens and I cannot get it out of my head. Plus they are about to do a UK tour. Go see them if you get a chance. They are brilliant live.

2. The Sound - The 1975
I mean I have loved this song for a while now (it may even be in one of the old playlists) but after the Brit awards performance, it's made a reappearance. That performance was amazing, and they have a brilliant team working with them. That was such a talked about stunt!

3. Happy Being Miserable - New Found Glory
What an absolute classic of a band. Again about to do a big tour around the UK playing old full albums. I'm excited to say the least. Watch the video HERE

4.Paris - The Chainsmokers
I just really enjoy The Chainsmokers okay??

5. So Good - Zara Larsson
I love a good sing along song. This is this months for me.

As always there's loads more on the actual playlist HERE

Let me know any new artists or songs you are loving and would recommend!
