Playlist : January 2017

Well Hello! It's a whole new year. I am not even sure I have written a blog post yet this year. If I haven't, well then, i'm kicking it off with my play list for this month.

Now not an awful lot of new music gets released at this time of year, unless your Ed Sheeran, cheers pal, i think everyone needed that (yes, of course he features here) Any way, lets get this started.

This months top picks!

1. Ed Sheeran - Shape of You & Castle On The Hill
I'm from Norfolk, not a million miles froms Ed's home town too. I don't think I need to say much about these to be honest. they speak for themselves and i'm fairly certain they are already number one and two in the charts anyway!

2. Alessia Cara- How Far I'll Go.
I'll admit i haven't seen the film yet, i really want to. But this song is so good. I like to sing it around the house to myself.

3. ZAYN & Taylor Swift - I don't wanna live forever.
Again just a massive song, but taylor swift doesn't ever really put out shit songs now does she.

4. Deaf Havana - Fever
Another new one. I am not sure there has been a month when Deaf Havana haven't been in my playlist

5. The Chainsmokers - Paris
I still have a lot of love for these guys since Closer was such a big song for me.

Again this is just a small selection of the songs on my playlist for this month. Also featuring are  You Me At Six (great new album), Martin Jensen and Four Year Strong.

Follow my playlist HERE

Also please have a look at my new Vlog channel HERE and please subscribe.

What have you all been listening to this month? Again  I am always up for more suggestions for new music!

Playlist : December 2016

Decembers playlist is here! I've put it together earlier this month as i also have my years one to put up which will be up the end of this month or the start of next month. I haven't quite decided yet.

First up on Decembers is -

1. Louis Tomlinson - Just Hold On
I cried during his performance on the X Factor. becoming a mum has generally made me more emotional but times like that, well, I just couldn't hold it all together. Good on him for doing that, and being so strong.

2.Little Hours - Water
This song is beautiful. I'm obsessed. its on repeat.

3. Deaf Havana - St. Pauls
This band are one of my all time favourites. amazing music, perfect lyrics and its all so real. This is their new one. Another great in my eyes

4. The Pogues - Fairy Tale of New York
I mean, it is the christmas month after all. And probably the best Christmas song ever.

5. Little Mix - Touch
I just love this song. I don't know why but when I first heard, I didn't immediately think Little Mix. This has grown on me, I didn't love it straight away but now I honestly can not stop singing it.

6. Jack Garratt - Far Cry
Another beaut in my eyes. Just give it a listen and chill out.

As always there is much more than these few I have mentioned so go have a listen of my playlist HERE. And send me your playlist or song suggestions. I am always up for new music to listen to, in pretty much any genre.

Playlist : November 2016

Here are my picks of my favourite new and old songs for the month of November.
I'm fairly certain I have missed a couple of months (although there probably wasn't a lot of new music in those couple of months)

This month however, my playlist is the longest it has been and I have been so happy about that. So here is just a couple of my picks for this month

1. Dodie - Absolutely Smitten -
She's just released her EP, and I am completely and utterly in love with it. This song is so beautifully hopeful and happy. Please go buy her EP here, and follow her youtube channel here

2. Blink 182 - She's Out Of Her Mind.
My pop punk heart is finally fully happy and satisfied again with this song, and the video they did for spotify sessions. I am absolutely completely ok with there being no Tom Delonge too (possibly an unpopular opinion, who knows?) I feel like they are back to their best. Link to Video Here

3. Metallica - Moth Into Flame
I love this. I love Metallica. I Love new Metallica. I also love Metallica shirts. Enough Said. (also not the video for the song, but this is better anyway. ENJOY)

4. Bruno Mars - 24k Magic
I wouldn't have normally found myself listening to this song, I mean its by far NOT my favourite Bruno Mars song. What happened is, Conor Maynard and Alex Aiono did a sing off over the base of this song and I loved it. As I can't have the mash up on my playlist (put it on spotify already Conor!) I guess the original will do. Both Videos are below.

5. Sainte - Technicolor
Tay Jardine previously from We Are The In Crowd, has returned with this. I Love it. Its one of those songs I like to belt out whilst I am giving Fletcher a bath. There's always music on in the bathroom right? or just me??

As always there are far more songs on my monthly playlist on Spotify which you can find and follow HERE. Also if you enjoy their songs, make sure you follow the artists and support them too.

What have you been enjoying this month, music wise?

August's Music Playlist

Who's ready for another month of what I have been listening to and loving this month? Well ucky you cause this month i actually put together an actual playlist on my spotify!

This month has been another pretty eclectic mix from drake to neck deep, but here they are..

1. The Chainsmokers - Closer
This song is my current favourite. I love everything about it. Just mentioning Blink 182 in a song is an absolute winner for me. This is one of my new favourite bands.

2.  John Newman - Ole
I'm obsessed with this song, It has such a different vibe to other music around at the moment, and The beauty that is Calvin Harris is also involved and I know there has been a lot of talk about what the lyrics relate to in this song. For me I just love the vibes, and yes I did just say that and sound completely lame.

 3.Twin Atlantic - No Sleep
I have never been a massive fan of Twin Atlantic, however this song just gets me every time, I can imagine it sounds amazing live (hence video link below)

4. Conor Maynard - This Is My Version
I love a good bit of Conor, I have recently gone through a break up and this song came about like perfect timing (if a couple of months late) I keep singing this everywhere, especially on my way to work/ at work. My work friends think I am crazier than normal now. hey ho though.

5. You Me At Six - The Swarm
This is an oldy, but I always go back and this one came back up this month, and I have not been able to stop to listening to it.

There are a lot of other different songs on my playlist for this Month. Have a listen and follow here - August 2016 Playlist. Also follow My Spotify (kelsieborder11) as I am going to be doing a playlist for each month as I just love finding new music.

Let me know in the comments below, what music you have been loving this month!

July's Music Favourites

I really like writing these posts about the music I have been listening to this month. I love finding new songs to learn all the words to, and pop on whilst I am on the bus home from work (one day these will be on in my own car where i can sing out loud to my hearts content).
From source (not my image)

On to the music - I got spotify premium, and wow has my life changed.  I love that I can find pretty much anything to listen to, I use it to send me to sleep and to download new albums I want to have with me. My selections have been pretty varied this month but here they are...

1. Biffy Clyro -. Ellipsis.

I have always loved Biffy since seeing them when I was 15, at the UEA before Puzzle even came out. This album is so good, I have been listening to it on repeat. My favourites on this are Animal Style and Friends and Enemies. Absolute bangers!

2.Blink 182 - California

Again a long time favourite band - this album is GOOD. I have really been enjoying blink sounding like their happy old selves. I had an in depth conversation with my friend about them the other day, where although we both love this album, we both think Take off your pants and jacket is our favourite.

3. Deaf Havana - Sing (single)

James in deaf havana has an amazing talent at song writing. this song is also brilliant. Randomly I always go back to old Deaf Havana albums. Give them a listen for great music and lyrics.

4. Chvrches - Bury It (single)

Im new to Chvrche, but this song is my jam at the minute. I love singing it wherever and whenever. Plus the addition of  Hayley Williams is always welcome in my opinion.

5. Shawn Mendes - Treat You Better

Some days I just love a good pop song, this is this months

What are your favourite songs this month? Please let me know I want more music to listen to!

My Favourite Playlists on Spotify

If you dont have spotify then where have you been? I literally love nothing more than searching for a random playlist dependent on my mood, or for bit of nostalgia going back to 90s music i completely loved. I'm a huge music fan and my tastes vary from chart music (I don't even know if they call it that anymore) to heavy metal. With that in mind my favourite playlists are pretty varied - maybe there is something for everyone here, maybe not. Anyway these are the ones i cannot stop listening to...

1. Pop Punk Perfection

This is my favourite at the moment - its everything about my teen years and more - I mean I still love it all. I still choose to listen to this sort of music daily, My favourites on here at the moment being Rise Against - Saviour, and Something Corporate - Punk Rock Princess

2. Acoustic Covers
I love this one, it is so chilled out and sometime I just enjoy hearing other people's takes on songs - this is mega chill out/sing along

3. Soak Up The Sun -

Everything about this playlist is summer for me. Its sitting in a field at glastonbury enjoying everything thats going on around me whilst having a nice cold cider. This is a mixture from vampire weekend to Bob Marley to Incubus.  Im all about being positive, positive people are happy people - this makes me happy.

4. Rock the 2000s -

This one is for when i'm slightly angrier, or need something to just rock out to. I love a good collection of songs. And yeah I was born was before the 2000's...

5. The Pop List -

I love this, I love a good singalong, and sometimes just pretending I am the fifth member of Little Mix. Most of these songs are songs I didn't realise I knew all the words to, but thankfully the amount I have the radio on in my kitchen and car journeys means I can sing along to a lot.

So go and listen expand your musical knowledge if you don't already know a lot of these.. and also leave me suggestions... I love finding a new band that I can fall in love with and listen to constantly..
