Playlist : December 2016

Decembers playlist is here! I've put it together earlier this month as i also have my years one to put up which will be up the end of this month or the start of next month. I haven't quite decided yet.

First up on Decembers is -

1. Louis Tomlinson - Just Hold On
I cried during his performance on the X Factor. becoming a mum has generally made me more emotional but times like that, well, I just couldn't hold it all together. Good on him for doing that, and being so strong.

2.Little Hours - Water
This song is beautiful. I'm obsessed. its on repeat.

3. Deaf Havana - St. Pauls
This band are one of my all time favourites. amazing music, perfect lyrics and its all so real. This is their new one. Another great in my eyes

4. The Pogues - Fairy Tale of New York
I mean, it is the christmas month after all. And probably the best Christmas song ever.

5. Little Mix - Touch
I just love this song. I don't know why but when I first heard, I didn't immediately think Little Mix. This has grown on me, I didn't love it straight away but now I honestly can not stop singing it.

6. Jack Garratt - Far Cry
Another beaut in my eyes. Just give it a listen and chill out.

As always there is much more than these few I have mentioned so go have a listen of my playlist HERE. And send me your playlist or song suggestions. I am always up for new music to listen to, in pretty much any genre.

Playlist : November 2016

Here are my picks of my favourite new and old songs for the month of November.
I'm fairly certain I have missed a couple of months (although there probably wasn't a lot of new music in those couple of months)

This month however, my playlist is the longest it has been and I have been so happy about that. So here is just a couple of my picks for this month

1. Dodie - Absolutely Smitten -
She's just released her EP, and I am completely and utterly in love with it. This song is so beautifully hopeful and happy. Please go buy her EP here, and follow her youtube channel here

2. Blink 182 - She's Out Of Her Mind.
My pop punk heart is finally fully happy and satisfied again with this song, and the video they did for spotify sessions. I am absolutely completely ok with there being no Tom Delonge too (possibly an unpopular opinion, who knows?) I feel like they are back to their best. Link to Video Here

3. Metallica - Moth Into Flame
I love this. I love Metallica. I Love new Metallica. I also love Metallica shirts. Enough Said. (also not the video for the song, but this is better anyway. ENJOY)

4. Bruno Mars - 24k Magic
I wouldn't have normally found myself listening to this song, I mean its by far NOT my favourite Bruno Mars song. What happened is, Conor Maynard and Alex Aiono did a sing off over the base of this song and I loved it. As I can't have the mash up on my playlist (put it on spotify already Conor!) I guess the original will do. Both Videos are below.

5. Sainte - Technicolor
Tay Jardine previously from We Are The In Crowd, has returned with this. I Love it. Its one of those songs I like to belt out whilst I am giving Fletcher a bath. There's always music on in the bathroom right? or just me??

As always there are far more songs on my monthly playlist on Spotify which you can find and follow HERE. Also if you enjoy their songs, make sure you follow the artists and support them too.

What have you been enjoying this month, music wise?

LOVE

A Week To Go!

Theres just a week to go till that little boy i have been carrying for 9 months is due. Seems like a long long time ago since i rang my mum to tell her i was pregnant. The absolute fear that went through me at telling my mum, i immediately felt like a 12 year old that had done something wrong. I don't think thats a feeling you ever grow out of.

Im really excited to finally meet him, however, it may mean i fall a bit behind on my blog. I intend to have some blogposts scheduled, and there should be quite a few seeing as all im doing right now is sitting around at home waiting to go into labour. So i'm using this time to fill my time with writing blogposts.

I must apologise that a good few of them will have been constructed in advance (i.e. Christmas posts/ halloween/bonfire night posts) and some things may change with in that time, but im sure people will appreciate the effort non the less.

I may also have to apologise here in advance that when i do come back i may not be able to post quite as regularly as i have been. i have heard a lot of tales of newborns being a bit of a handful hehe. this is something im excited about and also something that i think will actually help with post ideas.

I just wanted to put together this post in case i do just drop of the face of the internet world, so there is some explanation.

In the meantime, there will still be scheduled posts!!

The British Tag

I Love this country. We have great opportunities available living here, so thought I'd give this tag ago. I tag anyone else who reads this and fancies giving it a go!

  1. How many cups of tea do you have a day & how many sugars? Now this is probably really un-Brit like of me, but I actually don't like tea. I'm a massive coffee lover. and it was only about 4 years ago I started drinking that, with 3 sugars in a swell! I can now limit my sugar intake quite well, and since being pregnant I have gone off coffee quite a bit, which I guess is a lot healthier for me. I do enjoy the occasional fruit tea.

2. What is your favourite part of your roast dinner? Well, Roast dinner is my absolute favourite. I make amazing Yorkshire puddings (just blowing my own trumpet there). I love everything about a roast dinner. I simply couldn't choose just one thing. I do leave my yorkshire puddings till last to just savour them. I am an absolute sucker for a carvery as well. what is not to like. especially when you can potentially have a roast dinner any day of the week!

3.What is your favourite dunking biscuit? Again, I don't drink tea so also don't dunk (I just don't get it, explain to me if you wish?) I am a biscuit fiend though. Any with chocolate on and they are gone in a day. I especially Fox's, you know the advert with the mafia panda. These are my favourite at the moment

4.What is your favourite quintessentially British Pastime? I'm stuck between two. One is visiting the pub with my friends, having a few drinks and playing pub games. Drunk darts anyone?? (hilarious) I also love afternoon tea outings. I love scones, I also pronounce it like cone and do not start the argument with me. I'm from Norfolk I speak the queens English and have literally no accent. people often ask me where I'm from cause they just can't pin point it!

5. What is your favourite word? I don't think I actually have a favourite word. I like all words. Thankfully I'm very fluent in our own language. I do occasionally like to chuck out nice long words in my sentences to throw off my sister and fiancé. They do get confused. I do have fond memories of the word 'abrupt'. Its like onomatopoeia , plus I find it hilarious that my sister has no idea how and where to use this word in a sentence!

6. Do you know any cockney rhyme slang? Adam and Eve - Believe, apples and pears - Stairs, Lady Godiva - Fiver. I reckon everyone knows at least 1!

7. what is your favourite sweet? I love chocolate and all things sweet. Favourite sweets are haribo's goldbears, I can guess all the colour correctly blind folded (random skills hell yes!!) and chocolate is Galaxy (sorry Cadburys its just creamier mmmmm.)

8. What would your pub be called? I have worked in the hospitality industry since I was 16. I like my pubs, good ones too. I'd probably stick with something classic, like Coach and Horses, The crown. My favourite pub in the world is the Albatros in Wells Next The Sea. Its not even a English themed one, just my favourite place to go sit and have a brew!

9. Who is your no.1 British Person? actually this is hard ... The Queen is what we should all say, but I actually love Emma Watson. She's perfectly lady like and British in herself. Plus Hermione was awesome in the films!

10. What is your favourite shop and Restaurant? My favourite shop is actually Boots. You can get everything from there or Tescos. I'm a sucker for bargains and tesco do some brilliant home ware stuff, and well the clubcard is good too. My favourite restaurant varies, Brad and I love pizza so normally something along those lines, but we also LOVE Nandos. I'm not even sure if it was starting in the UK but we seem to be pretty much top of the countries talking about it.

11. What British song pops into your head? Song 2 - Blur. Massive Blur fan. Gutted I didn't see them live that year they played at Glastonbury. That and Anything Arctic Monkeys, but Mardy Bum is just great and i love them.

12. Marmite? not for me. Brad loves it though!

10 things that are currently on my Wish List

Having recently moved and expecting a baby, there are quite a few things I want to get right now. I especially still want to splurge on make up and beauty products, which probably isn't a wise decision at the moment what with all the baby things i need to get!!

1. Fridge/Freezer. We desperately need one. I however do not have loads of money to splurge on a brand new one if we did we'd ideally love an american style one but I'd love a Smeg one like these. I love the retro look of these, however they are just so expensive to buy brand new! maybe when I am back at work full time, we will be able to get one.

2. Pretty baking stuff. I love to bake. When we were working in ski chalets I had to bake a cake everyday. I loved it. I made amazing muffins. Our last chalet in Morzine was so well equipped for baking I loved it! I now don't really have anyone to bake for (brad doesn't like cakes, i sometime question why I'm marrying him!!!) I do still want all the baking things though!

3. Nars foundation. Oh one of the make up purchases I really want to splurge on. I really can't justify it at the moment. especially when I still have plenty of make up knocking about!

4. A dining room table. I really want a nice old dining room table. Again expensive to come by. obviously a couple of these things are top of our list of things to buy, but it does take a while to find what we want. I love this style

5. Make up storage. I admit it, I am a bit of an organized clean freak. I like things to look organized and tidy. Right now my make up is not that organized and tidy. it is also an area of my bedroom that I need to work on a bit. But actual make up storage would make my life just a bit nicer!

6. Star curtains. (wow am i boring for purchasing curtains!!). we want nice starry curtains for the nursery to sort of emulate the great hall in harry potters sky at night time. My fiancé is adamant about the curtains. Finding the perfect ones not so easy! These ones glow in the dark. Perfect, however, they do come with a hefty price tag!

7. Cath Kidston folding baby changing mat. I love this one that I saw in the shop the other day. I did actually almost buy it with the baby money my grandma gave to me. I still intend to buy it but at the time had to head home due to being absolutely exhausted that day!! I loved this one for the planes and the cute boy-ish qualities to it. I don't think my fiancé would even be embarrassed to take this one out and about with him

8. Anything from Benefit. I am a massive fan of Benefit. I love everything. Also the packaging is so cute. I have especially be loving their Pore professional recently (AHHHmazing!)

Picture - Source

9. Mac Lipsticks- I am not a massive person for lipsticks. Having vague memories of my mother wearing hideous colours in the 90's probably doesn't help. I do however want to own mac lipsticks. How can a girl not want one. Again this will be something I may have to secretly splurge on!!

10. A Garden Bistro set. (OK I'm really making myself sound old). Since we have moved we finally have a garden, an outside space, and beautiful weather, and I really want to utilise it. I want this lovely garden bistro set to just jazz up my garden a bit. Also if I sit on the floor right now, it is extremely hard to get back up!!

So there is 10 things I really want right now. A lot of it is for my house, but there are still make up things in there which I'd also love to be able to try and experiment with right now. Especially spending so much time at home. (the only other thing I'm wishing for is slightly cooler weather. Heat and pregnancy do not mix!!)

What are you wishing for right now? anything similar or completely different. Let me know in the comments.

Whats in my bag??

I feel like I do not actually keep that much in my bag, and I am always forgetting my sunglasses anyway. But my absolute staples are definitely my iPhone 5c, my beautiful Chanel purse that I got for my 18 th birthday (that was a long time ago now) and generally my house keys (which are currently in the door of my house). Since I have been pregnant I always have a bottle of water on me, being hydrated is essential now, I even have it by my bed at night, despite the amount of times I know I will have to get up and wee in the night now! I got the gorgeous owl compact mirror from my fiancées parents as a gift for something a couple of years ago. its so handy, especially as I have been obsessed with the Revlon colour burst Lacquer balm at the moment, makes reapplying easy peasy! I have a notebook because well you never know! plus I picked it up the other day from paper chase and I actually love it.
I always have headphones in my bag, generally because you never know, and there are times when I get sick of my fiancées music in the car (always the same cd's!!) so I can just tune into my own little world especially as we always seem to take such long journeys!

I have actually had this bag just over a year (christ is that too long, should I update now? have I done a fashion crime??) I actually love this though, I got it from Primark in Bristol, bargain and practical. Its huge and fits everything and more into it. meaning that when brad and I were travelling a lot last year it could literally fit everything I needed in it (spare underwear anyone?) I also loved the design, its very 'me', and well its still going strong, no rips tears or any sign or over usage as yet! maybe I should look into a new bag though!

What do you keep in your bag? do you have more stuff than me? less stuff? anything completely different and out there? anything I should start keeping in my bag? let me know.

Review- Bleach London

I recently went on a nice little shopping trip with my sister, (mid week as well, how crazy of us!!) Anyway whilst i am trying to shop on a budget at the moment i have tried my best not to go all out crazy, especially as I had my fiancées card. I did manage to limit it though and actually managed to buy stuff with my boots points!! (those beautiful lil things) Today I picked up two new bleach London products. I am a big fan of Bleach London already  and I knew I wanted to try out their new hair colour crayons, I have especially been longing for a nice turquoise-y colour to play about with my hair with.

I tried it out a tiny bit whilst my sister was still at my house as she also wanted to see what it was like. So far very impressed, quite a bright vibrant colour. I didn't think it would appear as bright considering how it looked as just part of the crayon. However I do believe this differs on different types of blondes and other hair colours anyway.

I also picked up a 'beach lights' kit. having previously used the Bleach London dip dye kit (which is amazing if used properly!) I felt brave enough to go a bit more blonde, and I felt this would be the product. Having now used it, I found the Balayage board actually pretty difficult to use by myself. If buying this product make sure you have a friend to help you! I found it too difficult by myself. which may mean I am not as pleased with my result. although I will say I did it in the morning when I was rushed (I had a Carnival to attend!) and therefore i probably didn't keep as good an eye on my timings as I should. I am a bit blonder now then I initially intended, but I am also liking this change and embracing it. I would completely and utterly recommend their dip dye kit to any person who wants a nice 'hairdresser looking' finish though.
